WTG BACKEND ENGINEER

We are looking for a new colleague to join an exciting project with our client in the wind turbine industry.
You will support the Back-End analysis team. The Back-End department is responsible or design and verification of structural capacity of the Back-End for the next generation wind turbines. The Back-End analysis team do calculations on everything in the Back-End, from stairs and platforms (Secondary structures) to casted components, Drivetrain, Yaw drive, composite canopy, cooling tower and much more.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- An individual with an engineering background preferably a mechanical engineering or construction engineering background
- Possess the ability to maintain an overview throughout a project lifecycle
- Experience working with Ansys Workbench
- Having experience in scripting with python or similar is preferable, but not a must
- Strong English skills - both oral and written
- Able to start right away
- Valid EU work permit making you able to start working right away
- You may have some experience working as a Structural Engineer or you are a graduate with relevant internship experience
- You have a strong technical mindset and enjoy working analytical with your tasks
- As a person, you are an outgoing communicative individual who values collaboration and take charge in hectic situations
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Work close with designers, project manager, product owners and chief engineers
- Do structural calculations on various components using the analysis tool ANSYS Workbench or some of ther inhouse tools
- Work on NPD projects
- Take part in the further development and/or optimization of our calculation methods and tools
